Run For Good App Partners with DONATEPPE.ORG to Support Health Heroes through Personal Fitness
Updated: May 8
Run For Good (www.runforgood.org), San Francisco Bay Area-based startup, linking physical fitness and charitable giving, debuts a partnership with DonatePPE.org, an organization dedicated to delivering Personal Protective Equipment for COVID-19 first responders. By joining forces, Run For Good and DonatePPE.org are providing an innovative way for individuals to support our health heroes while achieving their own fitness goals. The Run For Good app, which launched in February 2020 on iTunes (Google Play coming soon), allows you to donate directly as well as solicit pledges from your friends and associates for each mile run (or walked or cycled).
Run for Good team: “Run For Good is thrilled to provide a quick, easy, and fun way for individuals and their friends to support DonatePPE.org. Our mission is to harness the power of one’s individual fitness activities like running, walking, or cycling to benefit the greater community. This goal is especially relevant today with gyms shuttered when we are all looking to maintain social distancing, to keep up our fitness regimens, and most importantly, to help protect and reinforce our medical professionals.”
DonatePPE.org: “Run For Good is the perfect partner for DonatePPE.org. Their focus on fitness and charitable giving dovetails with our mission to help our frontline heroes”.
DonatePPE.org (www.donateppe.org) was created to allow anyone to donate personal protective equipment to hospitals that are battling a critical shortage of masks, gowns, gloves, and face shields. They work closely with hospitals, manufactures, and supply chain experts to bring Personal Protective Equipment to wherever it’s needed in the fight to protect Covid-19 healthcare workers.
